We met later to plan the album, and I gave him a cassette because back then that's how I wrote songs. Hit record, and me and my guitar — that was it. He listened, and the first thing he said was, "You write an inordinate number of songs about relationships." I had to laugh. Yep. He liked the songs. Danielle Nicole, singer, bassist and songwriter hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, has spent her life making music and pleasing fans, domestically and abroad. Nicole was initially influenced by her parents playing in bands and working around the KC music scene. She recalls seeing her father playing blues guitar and her mother singing with the group Little Eva and The Works and it set off a switch. With her two brothers, Nick and Kris, they formed the “Heavy Blues” band Trampled Under Foot, which found initial popularity in the Midwest, then exploded worldwide for over 10 years.

There has been no shortage of praise; Guitar World stated, "Danielle Nicole has won respect and admiration throughout the American blues scene for her soulful, inventive playing and tireless work ethic." Blues Music Magazine effused, "Nicole brings it, bakes it, and serves it up blazing on a silver soul-rocking platter." The Kansas City Star declared, "Blues and soul vocalists tend to improve as they age. Bettye LaVette is among the artists who became increasingly believable as she matured. Danielle Nicole appears to be following in her footsteps."
Danielle embarked on her solo career with Wolf Den (2015), which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Blues charts and amassed 7.5 million Spotify streams. Cry No More (2018) followed, the record was nominated for a Grammy in the contemporary blues category and debuted at number one in the Billboard Blues Charts – it also boasts over Spotify streams in excess of 10 million. The Love You Bleed(2024) has amassed over 1.2 MILLION streams in the less than a year since its release on Forty Below Records. After receiving 8 Blues Music Awards over her career for Bass Player and Female Contemporary Artist of the Year Nicole is just getting warmed up.

Sauce Boss at Palladium Side Door May 20th
The Side Door Cabaret for an unforgettable night with Bill Wharton, the Sauce Boss! Experience a high-energy blend of Bluesy slide guitar and soulful vocals as Bill ignites the stage with his unique sound. Sauce Boss mixes media like cornbread. Hot sauce, blues, chicken, funk, onions and okra, heartfelt songs, peppers and soul, seafood… and slide guitar, all go into the gumbo. The aroma fills the place. The crowd stirs up the pot. The Sauce Boss stirs up the crowd. It’s a soul-shouting picnic of Rock and Roll brotherhood, and at the end of the show, everyone gets a chance to sample the gumbo.
Sauce Boss Bill Wharton is the guy Jimmy Buffett sang about in his song “I Will Play for Gumbo.” Wharton’s anthem, “Let the Big Dog Eat,” is included on Buffett’s Late Night Menu at the Margaritaville Cafe album. Albert Castiglia released his cover of the tune, and it hit #1 on blues charts. “Let the Big Dog Eat” has also appeared in the film Something Wild (Jonathan Demme) and the Rock Doc, Jimmy Carter Rock and Roll President. This tune and sixteen other works in the documentary earned Wharton Best Original Score from the Los Angeles Film Awards.

Florida Music Hall of Fame Inductee Sean Chambers began his professional career back in 1998 when he toured with the legendary Chicago blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin as his guitar player and band leader, while developing his own distinctive style along the way.During Sean’s tenure with Mr. Sumlin, Britain’s own Guitarist magazine named Chambers as “One of the top 50 blues guitarists of the last century.”Chambers has released nine albums to date. His 2009 breakout, Ten Til Midnight, garnered rave reviews, appeared on the Living Blues chart for three consecutive months, and received significant airplay on Sirius/XM Radio blues channel as a “Pick to Click” and “The House of Blues Radio Hour” as a “Blues Breaker”. It received steady airplay in 45 states around the U.S, as well as many markets overseas.“Sean Chambers plays with an inner fire that seems to only burn hotter the deeper you get into the disc. “Ten Til Midnight” is bound to perk up some ears!”- Mark Uricheck, LIVING BLUES MAGAZINE (Dec 28, 2009)“Chambers’ guitar style is electrifying on his new CD Ten Till Midnight! The Suncoast Blues Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting blues music throughout the Tampa Bay region. Founded in 1997, the Society was created to bring people together through a shared love of music. SBS is committed to preserving the rich history and traditions of the blues while sharing its influence and spirit with current and future generations of music lovers.
